How we score

Each candidate is judged on a consistent, user-first rubric — and only the genuinely interesting make it through:

• Novelty — the "I didn't know this existed" factor.
• Visual wow — does it actually make you look twice.
• Giftability — would someone be delighted to unwrap it.
• Genuinely useful or genuinely fun — clever and practical, or just great fun.
• Real social proof, where it exists — eBay watch/sold counts and crowdfunding backer numbers.

And we ruthlessly drop generic commodity filler, dropshipping spam, and anything in high-risk categories. We pull candidates from Amazon (everyday-cool gadgets), eBay (vintage, retro and one-of-a-kind finds), and crowdfunding (bleeding-edge launches).
